. . FEEDING INDIA. Zomato Feeding India , is the India chapter of Zomato Feeding Foundation which is a not-for-profit aiming to mitigate hunger by solving for food wastage. Our work begins in India - a country that is home to the largest number of people who don’t have access to a daily meal..

mitigate hunger by solving for food wastage. Our work begins in India - a country that is home to the largest 
number of people who don’t have access to a daily meal.

Zomato Feeding India operates with a large volunteer network, which picks up food from individuals, restaurants, 
corporate offices, large cafeterias and events, and distributes them to beneficiaries in need. Our programs and 
processes help rescue and reroute fresh consumable food, which would otherwise get wasted, to those in need of 
regular access to food.

Our beneficiaries include and are not limited to - children, women, the elderly, specially-abled and migrant 
labourers. So far we have served 32+ million meals to people in need.

After seeing food for 5000+ people being thrown in the trash at a wedding in India, Ankit Kawatra was moved with
the simple idea - what if he could bridge the gap between hunger and food wastage in India. The idea was to
create programs and processes that helped rescue and repurpose consumable food, while driving the behavioural
change required for people to see that food wastage and hunger are two sides of the same coin.

He was soon joined by co-founder Srishti Jain, and a few other volunteers, and that is how our volunteer driven
not-for-profit, Feeding India was founded in 2014.

initiatives focus on ensuring 
minimal wastage wherever

Near 42% of all Indian children are 
undernourished. By balancing meals 
according to beneficiary type (proteins 
for kids, digestibles for old, etc.), we 
ensure better nutrition intake for all.

Most of our Hunger Heroes are in the 
age group of 18 - 23 years. By giving 
the youth a platform to raise their 
voice and act, through the Superhero 
program, we train young minds so 
they can contribute more within and 
outside the organization.

Through our endeavours we 
work towards closing the gap 
between the rich and the poor.

The Ranchi team of this organization 
took a unique initiative to reach out to 
women and girls as well. Organised many 
Awareness Campaign for them and 
distributed sanitary Napkins  to more 
than 2000 women's and girl   so far.  To 
keep hope  among the people, the team

They perform dance and many more activities were done.We Celebrated our Anniversary program at IMA BANQUET HALL Morabadi the banquet owner himself sponsored the hall to us and catering facilities..

. . FOOD FOR PAWS CAMPAIGN. . Covid left stray animals miserable. As shops were closed and animals were dependent on them for food, stray dogs were starving. Hence, we extended our love and care to these animals by providing them cooked meals on daily basis.
