[Audio] Police Station 6 was established following the report of the Committee on Peace and Order and a series of public consultations regarding the deactivation of METRODISCOM and three existing police stations. In their place, ten (10) precincts were created in the city, pursuant to Letter of Instruction 12/94 (Beverly) dated June 3, 1994, issued by PCSUPT Roberto Lastimoso, then Regional Director of PNP Region 9, in implementation of NAPOLCOM Resolution No. 92-86 dated October 15, 1993. Public consultations were held on various dates and venues, where Hon. Asbi N. Edding, Chairman of the Committee, presented one of the key recommendations: to strongly request the Honorable Secretary of the DILG and the Chief of the Philippine National Police for the upgrading of the Zamboanga City Police Command from Class B to Class A. Thus, TETUAN POLICE STATION 6 established through City Council Resolution No. 995 dated July 28, 1994, as the City Council recognized the necessity of creating police precincts in critical areas to enhance security and public safety. The choice of Tetuan as a site for a new precinct was deemed strategically important. The first Station Commander was PINSP Francisco Delos Reyes, appointed under the leadership of the late Mayor Hon. Maria Clara Lorenzo Lobregat and City Director COL. Resurreccion G. Miravite. From its inception in 1994 up to the present, a total of twenty-four (24) dedicated Station Commanders have led this station, each contributing their time, expertise, and commitment to maintaining peace and order in the area..
