Scene 3 (14s)

[Audio] From the videos about fume hoods and wet benches you now know that Fume hood is the safest here you have exhaust through tabletop and from above inside the fume hood. But it is not a clean workspace since it takes air in from the sash opening and drags particles from the cleanroom and from you into the fume hood. Also the dedicated Pyrex glass and plastic ware as well as holders is used for many different purposes and the same goes for the rinse bath. Gold Chromium Polymers et cetera could have been in here..

Scene 4 (47s)

[Audio] Wet benches has contrary to the fume hoods a laminar flow through H-E-P-A filter this is to make the workplace clean and reduce the amount of particles. The wet benches is dedicated for different specific processes and the same goes for the holders and rinse bath. Furthermore the bath are changed regularly by Nanolab and we try to make sure the baths are kept clean and without cross contamination. If you have any problems you are always welcome to contact wet chemistry group..

Scene 5 (1m 18s)

[Audio] Let´s look at some examples. You need to do a Gold etch and there are no dedicated baths for that or you have samples that does not fit in the carrier like chips or 8 inch wafers and therefore you have to choose the Fume hood..

Scene 6 (1m 32s)

[Audio] Then let´s take another example. You need to do a lift off resist strip or wafer cleaning on normal 4 or 6-inch wafers. You always use a dedicated bath if not you need to have a very good reason not to. Always check the cross-contamination sheet if in doubt..

Scene 7 (1m 49s)

[Audio] By following our rules you help yourself keeping your process clean. And you help Nanolab. By not using the fume hoods for no reason. And the environment. By reducing the amount of chemicals used. And the costs for Nanolab will be reduced..
