Understand the philosophical underpinnings of the VdTMoCA Explain the term or construct of “creative” as used in the model Explain the importance of the growth factors in the model Explain the interaction of motivation and action components in the model  Describe other fundamental constructs of the model Understand the developmental nature of the levels of creative ability Describe the phases within a level

Learning outcomes: Session 2 Assessment of the levels

Understand the assessment approach when using the VdTMoCA Be able to plan assessment for individual clients and groups Identify the characteristics of the nine levels of creative ability Differentiate characteristics between levels and decide on the final level for a client or a group of clients Apply the Creative Participation Assessment to a client Apply the creative ability assessment grid to the same client Establish the baseline level of creative ability for clients

Understand the process of planning treatment for an individual and groups of clients when using the VdTMoCA Integrate the VdTMoCA with other models where necessary Differentiate between the different categories of treatment principles: Activity requirements, Therapeutic relationship, Presentation and structuring Apply principles to own client population Evaluate how and when to apply grading Apply general programme planning considerations to own setting Explain how to review treatment outcomes and change programme where necessary
