Mrs. Pinckney Welcome to the 2023/2024 school year and welcome to the 8th grade. I am Mrs. Pinckney, and I am the 8th grade science teacher. It is a pleasure to teach your child's Science class this year. My science class is set up to encourage students to think critically, develop problem solving skills, and communication skills. The majority of our lessons will be in a digital format, but we will be doing hand-on science lab as well. Students should expect formal homework 2 to 3 times per week, on STEM Scope and/or Progress Learning but they should review the day's material each evening. For this class, students will need pencils, and a 3-ring binder. Grades will be updated frequently on PowerSchool, and I encourage you to log on to check progress. Students I hope you had an amazing summer, and you are excited to start your last year of middle school. I have high expectations for all of you because I truly believe all students can learn and all students want to learn. I am looking forward to an exciting year and I welcome your questions and comments..
