Scene 3 (14s)

[Audio] Vuma, launched in 2014, is a fibre network operator that provides high-speed fibre optic infrastructure and connectivity to homes across the country, via an open access fibre network. By early 2016, we had connected more than 100 000 homes to the power and possibilities of our network, and now Vuma has given fibre internet access to over 1 million homes across South Africa. Since Vuma launched, we have been named Best Fibre Infrastructure Provider of the Year ( 2017) and South Africa's Best Fibre Provider ( 2019). It's not just this recognition of excellence that drives us, however – it's our belief that 'if we can make a positive difference in the lives of South Africans and in the future of South Africa, we must. We believe that we can empower South Africans by providing the fibre optic infrastructure they need to unleash their potential by giving them access to online knowledge, information, and services..

Scene 5 (1m 25s)

[Audio] We believe that we can empower South Africans by providing the fibre optic infrastructure they need to unleash their potential by giving them access to online knowledge, information, and services. We as Vuma can help drive digital transformation in the country. Expanding the fibre footprint to, among many other important reasons, ensure more youth from disadvantaged communities have access to fast, affordable connectivity, is at the top of our agenda. We break connectivity barriers wherever we can. "When we empower individuals, we empower communities, when we empower communities, we empower society, and when we empower society, we build stronger, more inclusive economies." Our 'Why' is – We empower ordinary people to do extraordinary things. [Audio] Opportunity to connect to the world, and bring the world to your door. Bridging the digital divide – giving more South Africans access to connectivity. Community-orientated connectivity – the ability to share in the experience. Enables people to unlock their potential, dreams and hopes. Segment Vuma Fibre Reach from Vuma Fibre Key via educational touchpoints..

Scene 7 (3m 44s)

[Audio] As the biggest fibre network operator ( FNO) in South Africa, it's important to us that fibre technology is seen as more than just a way to connect people to the internet, and that the Vuma legacy doesn't amount to just laying fibre. We believe that fibre is the key to reaching potential and fulfilling dreams, and more importantly, it provides a platform we can all use to do good. We want to make an impact, be the change and leave the right legacy long after we've laid the cables, and achieving this means we must do more than just talk a big game. It's our belief that access to connectivity should be available to everyone – especially the youth. In collaboration with our ISP partners, Vuma's Schools programme now offers free 1Gbps internet access to more than 470 schools across South Africa. This programme gives more than 300,000 learners the opportunity to access online education platforms, unleashing their potential and inspiring their imaginations – at no cost to them or their families.

Scene 8 (4m 52s)

[Audio] We believe that smart thinking and brave actions can lead to a brighter South African future that embraces our country's rich culture and accelerates our dynamic energy. It is Vuma's intention and driver to connect people via the unlimited potential of the internet – because we can, and so we must. We partner with communities, sporting organisations, charities, and NGOs in the communities that we connect, to offer the help that they need to achieve their dreams and goals..

Scene 9 (5m 24s)

[Audio] South Africa is a complex collection of vastly different communities with differing needs, which is why Vuma was the first to market with an innovative pre-paid fibre service, known as Vuma Fibre Reach. This was specifically designed to give densely populated neighbourhoods access to affordable and reliable fibre in the safety of their homes, without the fuss of long-term contracts. Launched in Mitchells Plain in the Western Cape, this product has become a catalyst for positive change and opportunity across South Africa. Vuma Fibre Reach is a fast, reliable pre-paid way to access the internet from home. Fibre cables on no monetary value are installed in the area. Together with our partner Internet Service Provider, these cables offer you unlimited internet access, which means that you can use as much data as you would like, for one monthly cost..
