[Audio] Our group has identified increasing awareness about Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as our challenge. It is a serious mental disorder that can affect people after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event, such as a natural disaster, a car accident, or a personal attack. It is a public health issue with a far-reaching impact, yet unfortunately is not as widely understood as it should be. With this in mind, our goal is to create a social innovation project that can raise public understanding and support for PTSD sufferers worldwide..
[Audio] KLE Technological University Hubballi's team has a unique opportunity to tackle a social challenge and develop a viable solution. To begin, it is important to answer crucial questions about the issue, such as why it is important to address, who it affects, and benefits versus detriments of resolving the problem. There is also a need to consider the potential implications if the problem is not addressed. The team has a short timeframe of 5-6 months to craft a solution that can make a real, sustainable difference in the lives of those suffering from PTSD..
[Audio] Our team of Mohammed Azharuddin Sheikh, Arvind Bishnoi, Ganesh Pawar, Kannika Kulkarni and Deepika Khade, under the guidance of Dr. Preeti Patil, has identified the relevant stakeholders in a Design Thinking Course Project at KLE Technological University Hubballi to make an impact on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Primary, secondary and tertiary stakeholders identified are Pharma Companies, Insurance Companies, Government Agencies, Doctors, Parents of Patients, Psychiatrists, NGOs and most importantly, the Patients themselves. This will help in achieving the desired outcome and making a positive impact on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder..
[Audio] Our five students at KLE Technological University are employing the Design Thinking process to create a social innovation project for the 2022-2023 Even Semester. This calls for understanding users' needs by empathizing with them and then creating a product or service to satisfy those needs. To identify the underlying issue, our team is involving the community and coming up with unique solutions..
[Audio] This project is all about tackling post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among the age group 16-25. PTSD can be a difficult and heartbreaking condition to grapple with, and in India, it is often not taken as seriously as it should be due to a lack of awareness. This project looks to reduce this stigma and spread awareness about the disorder, with the aim of helping sufferers to recognize it and seek the right interventions as soon as possible, in order to prevent secondary trauma. With this in mind, the team at KLE Technological University, Hubballi are undertaking a project examining Design Thinking for Social Innovation to tackle this very issue. Under the guidance of Dr. Preeti Patil, the team of Mohammed Azharuddin Sheikh, Arvind Bishnoi, Ganesh Pawar, Kannika Kulkarni, and Deepika Khade, are tackling this important problem in the 2022-2023 even semester..
[Audio] The Project team is taking a compassionate approach to help those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This team is working to provide a viable solution to the lack of resources for therapy and professional help which is often too expensive for those in need. They are exploring the possibility of creating an empathy map with suggestions for talking openly to people, seeking professional help, practicing self care, learning grounding techniques and educating themselves about PTSD. By empathizing with individuals and understanding their struggles, this approach could make a real difference to those dealing with trauma. Let us be part of this effort to give a much needed helping hand to those in need..
[Audio] Our research project at KLE Technological University Hubballi is exploring ways to provide support to individuals with PTSD. Our team wants to learn more about the difficulties and advantages faced by such individuals. The difficulties may include distressing memories, flashbacks and nightmares, strong emotional distress and volatility, avoidance behaviour, and challenges in relationships. Other issues can be social isolation and lack of understanding. Positive aspects of individuals with PTSD may include feeling of safety and security, understanding, and fulfilling their wants and needs. We are enthusiastic to explore the best ways in which we can support such individuals..

The project at KLE Technological University, Hubballi, is being undertaken by Mohammed Azharuddin Sheikh, Arvind Bishnoi, Ganesh Pawar, Kannika Kulkarni, and Deepika Khade in the 2022-2023 Even Semester. It focuses on one particular stakeholder – a teacher named Manhävi. Manhävi is a married woman who is passionate about teaching and helping people. She holds both a B.Ed and M.Ed degree – and her goals are to be a great teacher, make her family happy and give her daughter the best education and understanding of what she is going through. Manhävi’s passion for teaching and helping people is inspiring and her commitment to giving her daughter the best education and support she can is admirable. The Design Thinking for Social Innovation Course Project is developing many innovative solutions and approaches to meet Manhävi’s needs and the needs of all the stakeholders involved in the project..

[Audio] The students of KLE Technological University, Hubballi, have proposed a project to help people suffering from PTSD. Their creative approach includes creating an app to connect people suffering from PTSD, placing banners in schools and colleges, hosting live shows in Instagram featuring psychiatrists, conducting storytelling and personal testimonials, organizing mental health screenings in workplaces and institutions, developing an Instagram account to provide a platform for people to talk about their traumas, and partnering with influencers to spread awareness of mental health. This initiative could reduce the social stigmas attached to mental health issues and provide much-needed support to individuals affected..
[Audio] The team evaluated different ideas using criteria such as originality, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, stakeholder engagement and ranking, and creating a website to provide a platform to talk about trauma scored the highest. Ideas such as creating a twitter handle, conducting live shows on Instagram by a psychiatrist, encouraging open conversation, conducting surveys and integrating mental health education in schools also scored relatively well. Ultimately, the team determined that creating a website to provide a platform to talk about the trauma was the most suitable option..
[Audio] Our team conducted a feedback session with Avani Shety to assess the effectiveness of the website we designed. The feedback received was positive, with Avani noting they were satisfied with the solution and that it met expectations and requirements. Furthermore, they noted that there were no glitches while using the website. Avani provided constructive feedback regarding adding a share option and incorporating interactive elements such as quizzes and polls. We took this feedback on board and will use it to continue to refine our project. The student project at KLE Technological University is a unique and exciting opportunity to explore and develop new solutions for social innovation..
