[Audio] Hello and welcome to NovaAir ASM visitor induction..
[Audio] This induction is for site visitors only and is intended to help everyone stay safe during the visit. Before entering the site, please pay close attention to the safety rules, required protective equipment, restricted areas, and emergency procedures..
[Audio] In December 2023, NovaAir signed an agreement with Alliance Steel to construct and operate a large-scale air separation facility in Malaysia. The facility has a production capacity of 128,000 Nm³ per hour. In April 2024, NovaAir fully took over the operation for gaseous and liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. As a visitor, it is important to understand that this is an operating industrial plant, so safety awareness is required at all times.".
[Audio] For the policy, NovaAir conducts its business responsibly and in a way that protects the health and safety of its employees, its customers, the public, and the environment. For principles, "NovaAir believes that all accidents and injuries are preventable. The key reason is that accidents usually happen because of two main factors: unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. Unsafe acts refer to people's actions, such as not following procedures, not wearing PPE correctly, taking shortcuts, or using equipment in the wrong way. Unsafe conditions refer to the work environment, such as slippery floors, poor housekeeping, defective tools, or unguarded machinery. Based on accident studies, about 96% of accidents are caused by unsafe acts, while only about 4% are caused by unsafe conditions. This means that human behavior plays the biggest role in preventing accidents. 2nd, Safety performance is the responsibility of the person in charge. 3rd, Our employees and contractors take ownership and obligation for their own safety and that of others. 4th, Safety is a prerequisite of hiring and employment. 5th, Incident reporting as well as root cause analysis and sharing are effective means to continuous improvement. 6th, Commitment to safety and sustained efforts will yield results. For expectation, Firstly, Comply with all applicable local government and internal health, safety, and environmental requirements. 2nd, Design facilities and conduct operations in a way that avoids unacceptable risk to human health, safety, and the environment. 3rd, Produce and sell products that, if manufactured, used, handled, stored, distributed, and disposed of using NovaAir's product safety communications and common safety practices, do not present an unacceptable risk to human health, safety, or the environment. 4rd,Remain committed to a continuous improvement process for safety, health, and environmental matters..
[Audio] This slide shows restricted areas and the minimum PPE required before entering those areas. Please do not enter any restricted zone unless you are authorized and accompanied when necessary. The red area indicates the area where it is necessary to wear earplugs or ear protectors to prevent hearing damage. In case of an emergency, all visitors must proceed immediately follow the green arrow to the assembly point at the main site, near the guard house..
[Audio] This slide show another site which is spherical tank, the access is always locked and the access can get from the guard house. If the emergency happen, stay calm and immediately gather at assembly point like shown before..
[Audio] To enter the site, the minimum PPE must always be worn properly. This includes a safety helmet, safety boots with anti-static protection, cotton coverall or long sleeve cotton clothing, and safety glasses or goggles. For high-noise areas, additional hearing protection such as ear plugs or ear muff is required. For hydrogen-related activities, fire-resistant clothing may also be required. Please make sure your PPE is worn correctly at all times, because PPE is your first layer of protection on site.".
[Audio] "Safety is our top priority at NovaAir, and we operate under a Zero Compromise (ZeCOM) policy. This means certain violations carry immediate and severe consequences." "For critical safety breaches, such as being under the influence of substances or smoking in a process area, we maintain a one-strike policy resulting in a permanent ban." "Other violations, such as unauthorized entry into confined spaces or overriding safety equipment, allow for one warning—a 7-day suspension—before a permanent ban is issued on the second offense." "Even minor non-compliance, like failing to wear PPE or staying under a suspended load, follows a strict three-step escalation ending in a permanent ban. Please ensure you are fully compliant to keep yourself and the team safe.".
[Audio] At NovaAir, the main products are oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, including cryogenic liquids. These products must always be treated with care because they have specific hazards. First, cryogenic liquids such as liquid nitrogen, oxygen, and argon are extremely cold. Direct contact can cause serious cold burns, and they can also make materials like skin, carbon steel, plastic, and rubber brittle. Second, oxygen is not easily flammable by itself, but it strongly supports combustion. This means materials can burn faster and more intensely in an oxygen-enriched atmosphere, especially when oxygen concentration is above 21 percent. Third, nitrogen and argon are not flammable, but they can cause asphyxiation because they replace oxygen in the air. These gases can also be stored under very high pressure in cylinders, which creates additional risk. The key safety message is: always follow instructions, do not touch or handle any product equipment unless authorized, and report any leak, unusual condition, or unsafe situation immediately.".
[Audio] If contact with cryogenic liquid happens, remove contaminated clothing immediately, go to the safety shower at once, and rinse the affected area continuously until the first aid team gives further instructions. Do not delay reporting the incident.".
[Audio] If you hear an alarm or emergency announcement, stay calm and act immediately. Stop any ongoing activity and follow instructions from site personnel. Use the designated evacuation route and move quickly to the assembly point, but do not run. Once you arrive, report to the safety officer or supervisor for headcount. Remain at the assembly point until you are told it is safe to leave. Do not re-enter the building until the all-clear is given. If you notice a hazard, gas leak, or a missing person, report it immediately to the emergency response team..
