CASE TYPE Non-GBV Economic Abuse 7.2% 5.4% Physical Abuse 27% Sexual Abus 9% Emotional Abuse 51.4% Emotional Abuse: A Significant Concern Emotional abuse comprised the largest share of reported cases, making up 51.4% of all disclosures during the assessment period. Clients often expressed feelings of isolation and exclusion from decision-making in their relationships. Many shared experiences of persistent critici controlling behavior from their partners, and verbal threats, of which fostered a climate of fear and insecurity. These patterns of emotional harm frequently eroded their confide autonomy, and sense of safety, underscoring the urgent ne for supportive, trauma-informed interventions. Physical abuse emerged as the second most reported form of harm, accounting for 27% of the cases documented during the reporting period. A significant number of these incidents were associated with alcohol use, where dominant partners exerted control through physical force. Survivors—most of whom were women—described bein slapped with hands, kicked with legs and having t eir hair pulled during episodes of vloience. These acts not only inflicted physical pain but also reinforced patterns of fear, dominance, and emotional trauma within the relationship..
