GRAIN SIGHT PROJECT GLOBAL AGRIINO CHALLENGE

[Audio] Team members are Diana Ouma and Brian Onyango and we are presenting Grain sight project which is a pay as you go grain moisture and aflatoxin detection using AI.

[Audio] The problem we are trying to address is post harvest loss in Grains especially in Maize, a lot of farmers store their maize grains before they are well dried, and this is a problem that lea to growth of aflatoxin which damages grain and are toxic. And that's where our product comes in, Our Product help reduce POST HARVEST LOSS by reading maize moisture level and detecting Aflatoxin in supply chain.

[Audio] Our Solution is rapid and a low cost easy to use device. This hardware device is designed to allow affordable pay as you go Aflatoxin detection and grain moisture reading services to small holder's farmers. The device will results to higher income to farmers, lower grain damage due to lower temperature and finally help farmers reduce the huge challenge of post harvest loss in maize in Kenya and Africa.

The grain is placed inside the device to be analyzed, Grain sight device has hardware design which allows users to detect grain Aflatoxin by use of Artificial intelligence and read grain moisture level by use of embedded moisture sensor. Aflatoxin will be detected by taking photos through Ultra violet light; which is captured by simple camera with filters inside grain sight device, and sent to farmers' Smartphone android app to be analyzed by AI. Rapid result under 20 seconds , the device target cost is 40 dollars,.
