Based on Hong Kong Government's Travel Characteristics Survey, over 90% of daily journeys are on public transport, the highest rate in the world. Today we are understanding how functional is are these system..

[Audio] The journey Route starts from North Point to Harbour City. By a bus later changed to a Ferry to reach other side of the city..

[Audio] Hong Kong has a seamless system of transition from one mode of transport to other by a Octopus card..

[Audio] After getting the card, the next agenda is to allocated the appropriate bus stop with the bus going to your desired location..

[Audio] The bus for Causeway Bay was taken from north point bus stop. Majorly a residential area with active ground floor with convent stores and food. chains..

[Audio] As the bus was taken at 3 pm it was less crowded, even the traffic on the streets were minimal..

[Audio] The Interchange : Due to lack of Signage one gets confused regarding the interchange route and hence it took us more the 15 mins and a local's help to just hoop into the next door elevator..

[Audio] The street of causeway bay had taller commercial and cultural center buildings with lesser interactive and porous ground floor..

[Audio] After taking a overhead bridge and a 8 minutes walk, we reached Victoria Harbour.

[Audio] The Harbour was created as a recreational public pocket to enjoy the view of central district as well as the Victoria harbour..

[Audio] A wide range of activities are planned for this area..

[Audio] One has to tap their octopus card and in just 5.50 HKD you are transported to yours destination i.e Harbour City..

[Audio] Harbour City is also lined with different public spaces and activities like a promenade, Viewing Deck as well as a children's play area..

[Audio] The Giant web of transport is connected through streets and the Streets of Hong Kong are known for their economic driving quality..

[Audio] During our visit we majorly observed 3 kinds of streets following are their examples and what they offered to their consumer..

[Audio] Glouscester road mainly consisted of tall building and blank but arched pathway fronts. Streets like these are transit and not the destination for the pedestrains..

[Audio] Car showrooms etc were observed on this road due to its low pedestrian mobility..

[Audio] Jordan Street, crowded with people coming out of metro, casually shopping in convent stores as well as getting their hands on the newest collection for shoes and clothes..

[Audio] Due to High pedestrian traffic pop up stores are designed on the street to attract maximum consumers..

[Audio] Temple Street, one of the oldest street of the city with ephemeral quality of transforming into a market..

[Audio] On this street Local artisans and local goods are sold. It is also a major tourist attraction..
