What are body fluids ?. BODY FLUIDS. BLOOD. LYMPH.

BLOOD. Blood is a connective tissue composed of blood plasma and formed elements..

Blood is slightly alkaline in nature (ranging pH 7.3-7.4).

It transports gases, nutrients, hormones, etc.

It regulates body temperature, and water content of cells

Blood Plasma. Liquid component of blood. Thick fluid, makes up 55% of total blood volume, and rest of the volume made up by blood components.

Albumin is the major protein in plasma, other protein include immunoglobulins and clotting factors.

RBCs. W BCs. Platelets. Red blood cells are the oxygen transporters.. 

Scene 5

White blood cells are the fighter cells. No hemoglobin and have a nuclei. Sub divided in neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes and monocytes

Red blood cells are the oxygen transporters.

It contains hemoglobin, responsible for the red colour of blood.

Also known as thrombocytes, are cell fragments from megakaryocytes. Lack nuclei. They help stop blood loss, as they contain blood clotting factors. Also release serotonin that acts as vasoconstrictor
