Scene 1 (0s)

[Virtual Presenter] "Good morning, everyone. Today, we're going to walk through the Aldine ISD T-TESS Evaluation Scorecard. So, if you'll look at the layout with me... you'll see the basic information right at the top. This is your Teacher ID, Campus Name, and so on. Right below that, you'll find the 'Raw Data' section. This is really the heart of the scorecard. In here, we find the key components of the evaluation: First, you have the Student Growth Score... and the Student Growth Proficiency Category that comes from it. Second, you'll see the T-TESS Domain 2 and 3 Score... [PAUSE]... and its corresponding Proficiency Category. Finally, the scorecard also gives you a more detailed breakdown... showing the averages for individual dimensions, like 2.1, 3.1, and 4.1.

Scene 2 (57s)

[Audio] The final T-TESS Summative Proficiency Category is derived from the Overall T-TESS Score. As the diagram illustrates, this Overall Score is the average of the scores from Domain 2 and Domain 3..

Scene 3 (1m 11s)

[Audio] "Okay, so how do we get the final Student Growth Category? If you follow the diagram, you'll see it comes from the SGM Score. That SGM score is the percentage of students... just the percentage... who met or exceeded their growth cut-off score.".

Scene 4 (1m 30s)

[Audio] "Let's look at the 'T-TESS and SGM Ranges' table to see how those categories are defined. For T-TESS (Observations): Proficient: A score from 3.0 up to 3.7. Recognized: A score from 3.7 up to 4.1. Exemplary: A score from 4.1 up to 4.5. Master: A score of 4.5 or higher. For SGM (Student Growth Measures): Proficient: Growth from 40% up to 55%. Recognized: Growth from 55% up to 60%. Exemplary: Growth from 60% up to 70%. Master: Growth of 70% or higher." "Finally, there is a critical qualification rule noted on the scorecard. It states clearly: 'You do not qualify for a designation if you have a score of below a 3 in Average Appraisal'. This is a key minimum threshold to keep in mind. To summarize, the system is designed to find your Summative Proficiency by taking the lower of your Teacher Observation score and your Student Growth score..
