[Audio] There are three main steps in waste management.They are collecting, transporting, and disposing..

[Audio] In university there are waste collecting units for each faculty and for each hostel. This waste is segregated as food, polythene and paper waste..

[Audio] Then this segregated waste is transported from each an every waste collecting unit everyday. Collected food waste is used as animal food and recyclable waste is sent to a buyer recommended by the central environment authority..

[Audio] Although non recyclable waste should be incinerated, there are no such facilities for that in the university. Therefore for now they are buried once a week..

[Audio] Most of these disposal methods have adverse effects. So that we should reduce the sources of these waste as much as possible.There is 5R' s in waste management. Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle..
