[Audio] Good day everyone. Today, we will be presenting the Status of Accomplishment of the Action Plan of the Schools Division Office of Rizal. This report highlights our progress, achievements, and areas requiring further action as we continue to uphold our commitment to quality, accessible, and transformative basic education..
[Audio] For the application of new school permits, our primary goal is to ensure 100% compliance for all new school applications. We are guided by clear DepEd policies and supported by experienced processing staff through the PRiDe website, which strengthens our workflow and ensures accuracy. Despite these strengths, delays still occur due to incomplete documentary requirements submitted by schools. To address this gap, we conduct orientations focusing on required documents, provide checklists, and carry out pre-evaluations to ensure completeness before endorsement. This initiative is led by the SGOD Chief, School Heads, Planning and Research, the Private School Coordinator, and the SMME section from March to June 2025. By the end of the period, we successfully ensured that 100% of applications were processed and endorsed to the Regional Office within the standard processing time—demonstrating improved efficiency and strong collaboration across all levels..
[Audio] For the renewal of government permits, our target was to endorse all 183 private schools applying for renewal—and we successfully achieved 100% completion. This accomplishment was made possible through strong collaboration between PSDSs and private school personnel, supported by both online and onsite platforms for technical assistance. However, we still encountered gaps, particularly the incomplete submission of documents and instances of non-compliance with required standards. To address these issues, we strengthened our strategy through constant communication and maximized the use of online platforms to provide timely guidance and follow-ups. From November to January, the Private School Coordinator, SGOD Chief, SMME SEPS, the Planning Officer, PSDSs, and school heads worked together to ensure that all requirements were met. As a result, 100% of private schools were successfully granted their government permit to operate—reflecting our effective coordination, consistent monitoring, and commitment to quality assurance..
[Audio] In the area of school recognition, our target is to have at least five private schools apply for recognition each year. Our strength lies in the conduct of pre-ocular inspections to ensure compliance with regional standards. However, three out of eight applicants were disqualified due to gaps in requirements. To address this, we will strengthen onsite and online technical assistance, focusing on proper documentation and physical facilities. This will be led by the SGOD Chief, Private School Focal, and the M&E Specialist from February to April 2026. Our success indicator is achieving 100% processing and endorsement of applications within regional standards..
[Audio] For the key area of Tuition Increase, our goal is to ensure a fair and transparent tuition fee adjustment process in full compliance with established DepEd guidelines. Our strength is having clear national policies that guide private schools in implementing tuition fee increases properly. However, challenges remain, particularly in the submission of incomplete documents and the lack of authentic approval from stakeholders. To address this, schools with incomplete requirements will be required to retrieve and complete their documents for resubmission. This intervention will be led by the Private School Coordinator, SGOD Chief, SMME, and School Heads from November to January. Our success will be measured by regionally recommended tuition increases and improved compliance with transparency requirements among private schools..
