TMC VISION. Bring together professional managers in order that they may interact with one another and develop their potential management, leadership and business skills to the fullest and make a substantial contribution to the society..

THE OBJECTIVE. To provide an opportunity for the growing population of professional Managers to meet and greet regularly at interactive programs of value and worth infuse, sharpen and develop management, leadership and business skills through management presentations and other forums and have the opportunity of an acceptable, congenial venue, to have access and use of certain facilities free and at discounted rates similar to that of an exclusive Business Club.

HISTORY OF TMC. The Club was initially open to the CMI Sri Lankan membership and eventually absorbed many senior and middle management professionals from various organizations Membership to TMC is on invitation and subject to a comprehensive screening process to maintain high standards TMC Colombo , Mount Lavinia , Kalutara and Negombo , have a combined membership of 550+ professionals from leading business entities all over the island..

HISTORY OF TMC. The Management Club (TMC) was founded in 2001 under the auspicious of the Chartered Management Institute UK, Sri Lanka Branch The Chartered Management Institute UK is the largest management body in the world with a membership of over 90,000 professionals from around the world CMI UK has its branch in Sri Lanka having the British High commissioner as its Patron and the Director of the British council as its Vice Patron The Sri Lankan Membership constitutes mostly senior management professionals holding positions of leadership in some of the larger national and blue chip organizations in the country.

HISTORY OF TMC CONT’D. On completion of seven years of successful operation in January 2009 ,TMC proudly extended its reach to Negombo and Kalutara with the opening of two new Associate Clubs TMC Kalutara was ceremonially inaugurated at Hibiscus Beach Hotel on June 2009 TMC Negombo was ceremonially inaugurated in June 2009 at Camelot Beach Hotel, Negombo.

PROPOSED TMC EXTENSIONS. TMC Kandy (to be launched) TMC – Nuwara Eliya TMC – Galle TMC will extend or have reciprocal arrangements with few overseas clubs to benefit members while aboard Proposed to extend reciprocal arrangements in Chennai and Singapore in due course.

FEW ACHIEVEMENTS OF TMC. TMC has initiated its own fortnightly news space in the Daily Financial Times having had a similar arrangement with The Island for seven Years “Enable the Disabled” – ETD is the CSR arm of TMC focuses on programs to support disabled persons all over the country. ETD conducts a program “ Dirijaya ” Awards on a national scale to support differently abled people A series of evening monthly presentations, originally titled The Way Forward“ series , subsequently titled “Members Meet” are being conducted to discuss management issues and enhance leadership skills and knowledge, also provides an opportunity and platform for Members to meet and greet through fellowship . A unique monthly “Members Speak” evening, where our very own member is invited to speak on current topics followed by refreshments & drinks TMC regularly conducts 01 day, 02 days and evening management programs. Festive “Get togethers ” Fun Rallies.

Enable the Disabled. One of the key social accountability programs, conducted on a national scale has been Enable the Disabled – a program to Make Sri Lanka Disabled Friendly ETD, a stand-alone national program is also managed by a committee of 12 headed by its chairman ETD now registered as a company, has carried out very significant and meaningful programs, to recognize and bring out the abilities of the disabled Two such programs DIRIJAYA 1 & 2 were carried out under the patronage of two then Prime Ministers the Hon Mahinda Rajapakse and Hon Ratnasiri Wickramanayake ..

MEMBERSHIP TO TMC. Membership to TMC is purely on invitation Prospective Members must hold academic/professional qualifications with 3 years in Management or 5 years in Management with no academic /professional qualifications. All nominees would undergo a screening process in order to maintain high standards in the selection criteria Annual subscription is Rs . 10,000/- An entrance fee of Rs.15,000/- is applicable for new members/members joining new clubs, no entrance fee . NO ENTRANCE FEE FOR MEMBERS JOINING A NEW CLUB. Associate & Spouse membership at subsided rates are also available.
