1 Three pieces of evidence of the power and oneness of Allah (ﺖﻋﻼﯨ): Bringing the earth to life. d Establishing the order of the universe. Facilitating transportation and diversity of its means..
Qur’anic Vocabulary.
[Audio] The verses we have been studying cover various themes, one of which is the demonstration of Allah's power and unity. This concept is central to our understanding of the divine nature. By examining these verses, we can gain insight into the ways in which Allah manifests his power and establishes his oneness..
[Audio] We continue our presentation to explore the power and oneness of Allah. Our third piece of evidence is the earth coming to life. Allah (JOG) is the creator and through His love and mercy, He brought the earth to life with resources for all living beings. This is a sign of His greatness and oneness. The power of water produces plants and fruits, sustaining both humans and animals, a gift from Allah (012)). This act also symbolizes His ability to resurrect the dead on the Day of Judgment. It reminds us to reflect on our actions and be grateful for the gift of life. Allah (OJL2j) urges us to work hard and appreciate His blessings, as mentioned in the verse "WaMä 'Amilat/hu 'Aydthim Afald Yashkurün". This serves as a reminder to be grateful for what we have been given. In conclusion, the earth coming to life is a clear indication of Allah's power and oneness. It reminds us to be grateful and work hard to make the most of our blessings. Let's move on to our next piece of evidence..
[Audio] The precise sequence of night and day is one of the many signs of Allah's power and oneness. This sequence is essential for our lives and the functioning of the world around us. Without it, we would not experience the natural cycles of rest and activity that allow us to thrive. Furthermore, the path that the sun and the moon follow is a testament to Allah's wisdom and precision. Their orbits are predetermined and followed with great accuracy, demonstrating the intricate balance and harmony that governs the universe. Additionally, the phases of the moon illustrate Allah's ability to create patterns and cycles that repeat themselves over time. These phenomena remind us of the vastness and complexity of creation, and the infinite knowledge and power that lie behind it..
[Audio] Man has been given the gift of transportation and mobility by Allah. This allows him to seek provision and meet his life needs. Man is also protected from harm through Allah's mercy. The saying of Allah "Wa Khalaqnä Lahum Min Mithlihi Md Yarkabün" (And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride) emphasizes the importance of gratitude for the blessings received..
Description of the Deniers:.
[Audio] The Quran describes the behavior of those who deny the signs of Allah's power and oneness. These individuals refuse to acknowledge the signs that demonstrate Allah's authority, despite receiving blessings and provisions from Him. They fail to utilize their resources wisely and neglect to fulfill their responsibilities towards others. Furthermore, they reject the concept of the Day of Judgment, questioning when this promise will be fulfilled if they are indeed truthful. This highlights the importance of recognizing and appreciating the signs of Allah's power and oneness, rather than turning away from them..
[Audio] Allah said: "Is there reward for good anything but good?" (Ar-Rahman:60). This verse emphasizes the importance of doing good and being merciful. The Prophet said: "Allah is merciful only to those of His servants who are merciful to others." This hadith highlights the value of mercy and its relationship with the mercy of Allah. Doing good and being kind to others deserves to be rewarded by Allah with goodness and mercy. Moral values like mercy, kindness, and compassion are essential in Islam and are considered worthy of reward by Allah..
[Audio] The hadith emphasizes the importance of fulfilling the needs of people and bringing them benefits. It highlights that the most loved by Allah are those who bring the most benefits to others. Furthermore, the Messenger of Allah stated that the best deeds for Allah are to bring happiness to a Muslim, remove his difficulty, repay debt on his behalf, or relieve him from hunger. These actions demonstrate the significance of cohesion and coherence in society, where individuals support each other and contribute positively to their community. By engaging in such good deeds, we can strengthen love among members of society and create a more harmonious environment..
[Audio] O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the final Hour is a terrible thing. On the Day you see it, every nursing mother will be distracted from that child she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people appearing intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe. The first thing for which man is brought to account on the Day of Judgment is his money; how he earned it and how he spent it. So, what a great deed to spend money to serve people and bring them benefits such as repaying debts on behalf of others, extending the period for repaying the debt or waiving the debt in whole or in part. And if someone is in hardship, then let there be postponement until a time of ease. But if you give from your right as charity, then it is better for you, if you only knew. He who likes Allah to deliver him from the calamities of the Day of Judgment, let him either give respite to a debtor or grant him remission of loans in straitened circumstances. All the sons of Adam are sinners, but the best of sinners are those who repent often. It is essential to remember that we are accountable for our actions and decisions, especially regarding our finances and interactions with others. By being mindful of these aspects, we can strive to live a righteous life and avoid the consequences of our mistakes..
[Audio] Learning the Holy Quran is one of the most important virtues of a believer. Learning and studying the Holy Quran has many benefits and is a direct cause for deserving the recognition described by the Messenger of Allah. When we learn and study the Quran, we become more aware of our responsibilities towards Allah and towards humanity. We also become more compassionate and empathetic towards others, which helps us fulfill their needs. Hastening to do good deeds is essential because it shows that we value our relationship with Allah and prioritize doing good over material wealth or social status. Our work and fear of Allah are what truly matter in this world, not our lineage or status..
[Audio] In the pursuit of living a virtuous life, helping those who are in need, particularly the insolvent, demonstrates our compassion and empathy towards others, showing that we value their well-being and are willing to lend a hand when they require assistance. Covering the faults and sins of people involves being discreet and respectful in our interactions with others, avoiding gossip and criticism that could potentially harm their reputation. Seeking and teaching knowledge is crucial, allowing us to expand our understanding of the world and improve ourselves through continuous learning. Studying the Holy Qur'an provides us with guidance and wisdom that can help shape our beliefs and actions. Hastening to do good deeds shows that we prioritize doing what is right over other aspects of our lives. Being the best for one's family reflects our commitment to nurturing and supporting those closest to us. Adopting the Prophet's approach to family life demonstrates how to balance our relationships with love, care, and respect. By incorporating these qualities into our daily lives, we can strive to become more compassionate, knowledgeable, and responsible individuals..
Care for Children ❤.
[Audio] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was a role model for fathers everywhere because he took care of his children, advised them, guided them, and attended to their affairs. His approach to family life emphasizes the importance of providing, caring, advising, and guiding children. This ideal father-child relationship has a positive impact on the family and society, fostering love, cooperation, and mutual respect. As a father, he demonstrated mercy and kindness towards his children, showing us that a family thrives on these virtues. Furthermore, he emphasized the significance of teaching good manners to children and encouraging them to do good deeds from a young age. His influence extends beyond his immediate family, shaping the morals, human relationships, heritage, and traditions of future generations through his grandchildren..
[Audio] Showing mercy to others is crucial for creating a positive and caring environment. As the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stated, not showing mercy means not receiving mercy. This emphasizes the importance of treating others with kindness and compassion. A happy society is a result of individuals being treated with empathy and understanding. Therefore, it is necessary to foster a culture of mercy and kindness in our daily lives..
[Audio] A happy family is built on strong relationships between its members. The Prophet Muhammad demonstrated the importance of understanding, cooperation, and solidarity within the household through his treatment of his own family. A cohesive family leads to harmony, happiness, and joy, contributing to a more contented society. Families who practice these values experience increased well-being and mental health, positive behavior, better academic attainment, and stronger social bonds. Disputes and lack of communication can lead to negative outcomes such as decreased psychological health and poor relationships. Individuals should cultivate good manners and encourage good deeds from a young age, setting a positive example for future generations. This helps build a happier society where everyone thrives..
[Audio] People are not held accountable for unintentional oaths, but they are held accountable for breaking intentional oaths. This means that unintentional oaths do not have consequences, but breaking intentional oaths does. Allah is aware of all expenditures and vows made, and wrongdoers will not receive any support or assistance. Making an oath is a way of showing commitment to Allah, while making a vow involves a specific act of worship. Both oaths and vows are commitments made to Allah, emphasizing the importance of being mindful of our actions and intentions..
[Audio] We have already discussed some of the evidence that supports this concept, and now we will continue on to our slide number 19, out of 25. On this slide, we focus on three important pieces of evidence that demonstrate the power and oneness of Allah. The first is the bringing of the earth to life. We can see this evidence all around us, in the form of plants, animals, and human beings. This is a clear indication of the power and mercy of Allah. The second piece of evidence is the establishment of the order of the universe. From the rotation of the planets to the changing of the seasons, everything in the universe has a specific purpose and order. This is a clear sign of the oneness of Allah and His control over all things. Lastly, we have the facilitation of transportation and diversity of its means. The different modes of transportation that we use every day, such as cars, trains, and airplanes, are all a result of Allah's blessings and His power to provide for us. Now, moving on to a related topic, it is important for us as Muslims to remember that we must only swear by the name of Allah. It is disliked for us to swear by anything else, even if it is not intended as an oath. Swearing by anything other than Allah does not count as an oath and goes against the teachings of Islam. Excessive oaths are also frowned upon in Islam. We should only use oaths when they are necessary and not make them a regular part of our speech. This is a reminder for us to be mindful of our words and not use them carelessly..
[Audio] Islam teaches us that we should be mindful of our words and actions, particularly when it comes to making oaths. In this regard, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) advised us to beware of taking oaths excessively, especially in business transactions. He said, "Beware of taking oaths a great deal when selling, for it may help you to make a sale but it destroys the blessing." This highlights the importance of being honest and sincere in our interactions with others, rather than relying on oaths to facilitate deals. Furthermore, there are different types of oaths, including unintended oaths, where a person may unknowingly take an oath about something that turns out to be untrue. On the other hand, there are intended oaths, where a person deliberately takes an oath to commit a sin, such as cutting off ties with family members. In such cases, the Prophet taught us that the fulfillment of the oath is not to carry out the sinful action. Additionally, if someone takes an oath to do something permissible but then discovers a better option, they can disregard the original oath and opt for the new choice, provided they make an expiation for the oath. These teachings emphasize the significance of being mindful of our words and actions, and seeking guidance from Islamic principles to navigate complex situations..
[Audio] Allah has given us guidance on how to behave when we consider something else to be better than what we initially swore to. According to the Prophet Muhammad, if we feel that something else is better, we should make expiation for our oath and choose the better option. This shows that Allah values honesty and integrity, even in small matters like oaths. By making expiation, we demonstrate our commitment to truthfulness and our willingness to correct our mistakes. This principle can be applied in various aspects of life, reminding us to always strive for the best and be mindful of our words and actions..
[Audio] When we make a promise or swear to do something, we should consider the consequences of our actions. In Islam, there are certain rules regarding oaths, which are promises made to Allah. These rules aim to guide us in making responsible decisions and being mindful of our words and actions. One type of oath is the false oath, which involves swearing to something that is untrue or wicked. According to Imam Malik, if someone makes a false oath to please someone else, excuse themselves, or gain money, there is no expiation or way to make up for this action except through sincere repentation. This highlights the importance of honesty and integrity in our interactions with others. There are also expiations for oaths, which are ways to make amends for breaking a promise. These expiations include feeding ten needy people, clothing ten needy people, freeing a slave, or fasting for three days if these options are not feasible. The variety of expiations allows individuals to choose the option that suits their financial situation best. By considering the importance of charity and helping those in need, we can see that the first option of feeding ten needy people emphasizes the value of kindness and generosity towards others. Our words and actions have consequences, and being mindful of our oaths and promises helps us become more responsible and compassionate individuals..
[Audio] Taking a false oath is considered a major sin in Islam because it leads to the unjust deprivation of a Muslim's property. This act can destroy the blessings in trade and reduce the chances of making a successful sale. In fact, the Prophet Muhammad said that swearing can produce a quick sale, but it also removes the blessing. Furthermore, the Quran emphasizes the importance of honesty and integrity in business transactions. When a Muslim takes a false oath, they are essentially denying the blessings of Allah and going against the principles of justice and fairness. Therefore, it is essential to be mindful of our words and actions, especially in commercial dealings, and to strive for truthfulness and transparency in all aspects of life..
[Audio] A vow is when a Muslim undertakes to perform a worship act, such as prayer, fasting, charity or righteous act, for Allah in the future with the aim of getting closer to Allah and bringing benefits to others. Importantly, fulfilling vows is a sign of true believers who fear Allah and are committed to their promises. Furthermore, there are different types of vows, including a vow to do a good deed, which brings man closer to Allah; a vow to commit a sin, which is considered a sin; and an absolute vow, where the vowed act is not specified. According to the Prophet, if someone has vowed to obey Allah, they should obey Him, but if they have vowed to disobey Allah, they should not disobey Him. Additionally, the Prophet stated that there is no vow or oath concerning something one does not possess, nor to commit a sin, nor to sever the ties of kinship..
