Why the Theme of Education & Work?. Due to the direct impact it has on individuals and communities . Having seen the challenges faced by many in Kenya due to the high cost of education and limited opportunities, we are driven to make a positive change. Our motivation stems from a genuine desire to break the cycle of poverty and unemployment, and to provide equal educational access for everyone..

Problems we found. The high cost of education has led to limited access for many individuals, particularly in marginalized areas People in marginalized areas face even greater challenges due to limited resources Economic constraints often force students to drop out of school prematurely.

Ideas to tackle the Problems. Public-private partnerships through scholarships Collaborative Online Learning Communities Mobile Learning Apps Affordable internet access, especially in rural areas AI-enhanced teaching to mitigate on costs Virtual classrooms and remote learning AI-driven Adaptive Learning Systems—that assess students’ strengths and weaknesses Open Educational Resources Platforms—where free-educational materials e.g. text books Maybe incorporating mobile regular trucks to reach marginalized kids who lack the access to education and internet.

Who is affected?. With completion rates of 49.8% in primary education, 24.5% in secondary education, and only 3.9% in university, many students struggle to complete their educational journeys. Financial constraints often force them to abandon their studies, limiting their prospects for future employment. Individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds struggle to afford education, contributing to their inability to access quality training and job opportunities..
