Scheduled Wastes Management 2. The regulations came into effect on 15thof August 2005 Scheduled waste is defined in the act as any waste falling within the categories of waste listed in the First Schedule (Regulation 2) pg 319 EQA 1974 Categories of waste: SWI — Metal & Meta bearing wastes SW2 — Wastes containing principally inorganic constitutes which may contain metals & organics SW3 — Wastes containing principally organic constitutes which may contain metals & inorganics SW4 —Waste may contain either inorganic or organic constituents SW5 — Other wastes.
