Reverse Parking Only: To maximize safety and visibility please reverse park your vehicle in designated spaces within the main office car park. Special Parking Spaces: In front of the main offices we have dedicated spaces including 1 disabled parking space and 4 parking spaces for electric vehicles. Please use these spaces responsibly and considerately. Reporting Unavailability: If no parking spaces are available in the main office car park kindly proceed to the Weighbridge or Reception Desk for further information and guidance on alternative parking locations. Weighbridge Priority: Please prioritize vehicles moving on and off the weighbridge due to limited visibility of these vehicles. Exercise caution and yield to these vehicles when necessary. [Audio] Make sure to take care when in operational areas: There is constant mobile plant and traffic movements on site – Please do not cross into any operational areas or cross the path of a moving vehicle without first getting the drivers attention and informing them of your intentions then wait unit they have acknowledge you and signalled it is safe to cross. Maintain a 5-metre distance from operational mobile plant Do not approach any mobile plant without first getting the operator attention; You must then wait unit they have acknowledged you they have stopped the machine lowered the attachment and then signalled to you that it is safe to approach. Due to the nature of our works there may also be potential for slip / trip hazards present in the processing area – if any such hazard is identified please bring in to our attention immediately. Do Not walk on waste for A-N-Y reason and maintain a 5-metre distance from stockpiles..

[Audio] Mobile phones must not be used in any operational areas and you must ensure you are in a safe barriered area before use. Do not use your phone whilst driving or operating any vehicle or mobile plant on site. Any person that breaches a site rule may be issued with an infringement notice a copy of which may also be sent to the individual's employer. Any person who accumulates three infringement notices may be refused further entry. Future entry may also be denied for any infringement that in the opinion of the site manager is sufficiently serious to warrant such action. This includes any assault threat of assault or verbal abuse directed at any Suez recycling and recovery UK employee or any other site user or visitor..

[Audio] We operate a hazard/near miss card system on site. If you see any hazards or near misses please complete a card found at Reception and submit it to us. This allows us to create an action plan to remove or reduce the hazard ensuring a safer working environment for everyone. A-L-L accidents or incidents no matter how small must be reported to a member of the Suez Management team. This information will be added to our accident book. Reporting these incidents helps us to take corrective actions reducing the potential for recurrence in the future and enhancing overall site safety. Hazard, Near Miss or Accident Reporting. 26 August 2024.

[Audio] Maintain a 5-meter distance from operational mobile plant. Do not approach any mobile plant without first getting the operator's attention. Wait until they acknowledge you stop the machine lower the attachment and signal that it is safe to approach. Always maintain 3 points of contact when accessing or egressing machines using gantries or working at height..

[Audio] First Aid Stations: Located in the main offices weighbridge and control room. Eye Wash Stations: Located in the main offices weighbridge control room and picking cabins. Identifying Safety Personnel: First aiders wear green hard hats. Fire wardens wear red hard hats. Personnel who are both first aiders and fire wardens wear red hard hats with a first aider sticker. [Audio] This site has an A-E-D (Automated External Defibrillator) on site. A-E-D Location: Weighbridge office and Main Office Reception Responsible Person: Scott Bradshaw. A-E-D Usage: The A-E-D is available for use both on and off site in the case of an emergency. Employees are provided with training in A-E-D use and the device gives clear precise instructions during use. If the A-E-D is used off-site an employee must always remain with the device to ensure its proper use and return..

[Audio] In the event of a fire stop what you are doing IMMEDIATELY and follow the fire exit signs to evacuate the building. Proceed directly to the designated fire assembly points as highlighted in the posted pictures. The assembly points are located opposite Door 1 (Front Pad) and in the main car park. Please note that we conduct a fire alarm test at 11am every Wednesday. During this time the alarm is a drill and you do not need to evacuate unless instructed otherwise by a member of the Suez staff. If the alarm sounds outside of this testing period treat it as a real emergency and evacuate immediately. Your prompt response and cooperation are essential for ensuring everyone's safety..

[Audio] P-P-E requirements – the minimum P-P-E on our site are safety goggles / glasses hard hat safety boots with steel midsole high visibility vest / jacket. No shorts are allowed. When the plant is running an F-F-P-3 rated half face mask and ear defenders Must be worn within the main building. You may require additional P-P-E for specific tasks – this will be highlighted in a permit to work and rams – as example a harness for certain works at height..

If you come across any hazardous substances on-site it is crucial that you do not attempt to handle or manage these substances on your own unless you have received specific authorization and training to do so. Suez staff are equipped with the appropriate personal protective equipment (P-P-E--) and are trained in Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (C-O-S-H-H) assessments and procedures necessary for the safe management and disposal of these substances.
