While relationships are not necessarily romantic in this context, such as close and established friendships, in terms of love companionate love forms a solid foundation, and usually results in long term and stable relationships for example a marriage in which there is no or little passion but there is still commitment and intimate knowledge of one another ..

FATUOUS LOVE. Fatuous love is based in commitment and passion, usually where there is no time for intimacy to properly develop between partners. These relationships are usually shallow and short lived as a result of not having intimacy as a driving force to keep them together.
