The purpose of The HASAWA is to prioritize the health and safety of employees as well as anyone else affected by the actions of those employed. The HASAWA has been established to ensure that employers take all necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of their staff and anyone else impacted by their operations as well as to monitor and improve standards of health and safety in the workplace. This means that employers must assess the risks in their working environment and take all reasonable steps to minimise the risks.
