Scene 3 (26s)

3. Valves. 1- ESV (Emergency Stop Valve) (On/Off Valve) Warm up turbine when it starts from cooled condition. Quick closed when turbine tripped, to avoid continues steam entering to turbine without electrical generation. 2- Control Valves Controlling steam quantity according to electrical generation. 3- H.P By-Pass Valve By passing steam from main steam line to cooled reheat during: Turbine warm up. Turbine tripped. 4- L.P By-Pass Valve By passing steam from hot reheat steam line to condenser during: Turbine warm up. Turbine tripped..

5. Valves. CONTROL VALVE (CV) ASSEMBLY HYD Cylinder Valve stem iåLjt21 Valve.

Scene 6 (1m 6s)

6. Valves. Note: The ESV has two movements First is pre-stroke, done by pilot valve which is small plug internally combined with a main valve’s plug (called by bass valve), to Pass small quantities of steam to warm-up turbine and to balanced steam pressure downstream & upstream main valve’s plug to facilitate opening process of stop valve. Second movement, maim plug will fully open. Then we control steam quantities by CV which will open gradually to pass steam according to requirements. Firstly CV will open gradually to speed-up turbine rotor from low-tuning speed to normal operation speed (3000 r.p.m) Secondly CV will open gradually according to electrical generation requirements..
