[Virtual Presenter] Science art integrated activity.

Scene 2 (11s)

science. What is an ore ?. A) An ore is a combination of minerals and impurities . Ore is a mineral from which the metal can be extracted conveniently and economically. All the minerals are not ores, but all ores are minerals..

ENGLISH. Report on Mineral resources of Haryana. The state is the principal of country’s resources of tin(64%) ,quartz-silica sand(52%) and quartzite(49%). The principal minerals occurring in Haryana are China clay in Faridabad, Gurgaon and Rewari districts; limestone in Ambala, Bhiwani, Mahendragarh and districts; quartzite in Faridabad and Gurgaon districts; slate in Mahendragarh and Gurgaon districts. Other minerals , such as, barytes , calcite, felspar and marble occur in Mahendragarh district; copper in Bhiwani and Mahendragarh districts; dolomite in Ambala and mahendragarh district; granite in Bhiwani district; tin and tungsten mineralisations in tosham area of Bhiwani district have also been reported.

Scene 8 (1m 1s)

As above mentioned there are many ores and minerals in Haryana . Excess mining can cause depletion of minerals and are harmful to us. Mine exploration, construction, operation, and maintenance may result in land-use change, and may have associated negative impacts on environments, including deforestation, erosion, contamination and alteration of soil profiles, contamination of local streams and weltands and an increase in noise level , dust etc.

Scene 9 (1m 8s)

Miners breathe dangerous gases and rock dust in the mine that can make then very sick. Harming the environment : mining can put dangerous pollution into the environment. Mines can destroy habitats at animals rely on to survive. Some mining companies try to repair the habitat..

Scene 10 (1m 18s)

At last I suggest As we know miners are exposed to airborne respirable dust , they severely damage the respiratory system and effect lungs . Miners get diseases such as pneumoconiosis(CWD), lung cancer etc . To prevent this , we need to provide a air purifying mask ( doesn’t allow impurities of air) which helps them to breathe fresh air . The regular inspections should be carried out on the mining sites to alert them that there shouldn’t be any excess extraction of mining . The mining sites should be under control so that it can help in sustainability . Thank you.
