[Audio] Daily Briefings & Registers. Morning briefing sets priorities and updates Complete daily client register on arrival Document attendance accurately Share important health, behaviour, or activity notes.
[Audio] Staff Timesheets & Breaks. Sign in and out using timesheet system 20-min break coordinated with team Record all hours worked accurately Notify manager if shifts change.
[Audio] Cleaning Rotas & Checklists.. Follow colour-coded cleaning rota End-of-shift duties: kitchen, bathrooms, communal areas Tick off checklist once completed Report any hazards or damage immediately.
[Audio] Respite & Residential Care. On admission: check belongings, medication, and care plan Support personal routines (meals, hygiene, activities) Night staff ensure safety checks and logs are completed Respect privacy while ensuring safety.
[Audio] ACCESS System & Records. Digital platform for care planning and daily notes Log incidents, activities, and health updates Ensure accuracy and confidentiality Used for CQC compliance and audits.
Health & Safety.
[Audio] Fire Safety & Evacuation. Know alarm sounds, fire exits, and assembly points Assist service users safely during evacuation Never block fire doors or exits Record and review all fire drills and incidents.
[Audio] Infection Control & PPE. Follow strict hand hygiene protocols Wear PPE as required for tasks Dispose of waste using correct bins Clean shared equipment after each use.
[Audio] Medication Procedures. Follow the '6 Rights': right person, medicine, dose, route, time, documentation Check MAR charts carefully before administration Record administration immediately and accurately Report errors, refusals, or side effects promptly.
[Audio] Premises, Equipment & Vehicles. Keep environment safe, clean and fit for use Check and maintain equipment before use Unsafe equipment must not be used – report faults Drive and escort service users safely.
Safeguarding & Standards of Care.
