With that, we conclude that there is a significant decrease of -42.86% variance for the specific quarter compared to last year's 2nd quarter..
[Audio] On comparative suppression data, it shows that from April to June of this year, Pasig City Fire Station only received a total of 16 fire calls, involving 13 structural, 2 non-structural, and 1 vehicular fires compared to the same period of 2021 that had a total of 30 fire calls. Again in all categories, there were decreases in fire incidence..
[Audio] For the second quarter of 2022, BFP Pasig was able to conduct 17 fire investigations with an estimated damage of ₱ 30,349,312.50. In the same quarter last year, 30 fire incidents were investigated which had an estimated damage of ₱ 2,043,500. Fortunately, no casualties were reported for both years, during the same quarter. It is notable to observe that there is huge difference between the estimated damage of 2nd quarter of 2021 and 2022, due to fire incident that happened on June 28 2022 at Roosevelt Chemical Inc. [Audio] This year 2022, the leading cause of fire incidents is electrical ignition due to loose connection, second cause is the electrical ignition due to arcing, and the third cause is overheated home appliances, and open flame from cooking, while in 2021, the leading cause was electrical ignition due to arcing and open flame from cooking. The second cause was electrical ignition due to overloading and open flame from unattended lighted candle. Given these data, the top 3 causes of fire for both quarter and years are similar in nature but garnered slight difference in terms of occurrence..
[Audio] Here are some of the notable accomplishments of BFP Pasig. From April to June of the present year, BFP Pasig facilitated Completion of Competency Training for the Members of Fire Volunteers and Fire Brigades. Said training aims to provide basic knowledge in firefighting, fire suppression, basic life support and other emergency medical services, and basic rescue techniques. In addition, yours truly attended a meeting with the incoming Councilor Syvel Asilo and Brgy. Chairman Maricar Vivero on the Proposed additional fire sub-station at Brgy. Pinagbuhatan. Additional fire-substation will augment the deployment of different resources, fire trucks, apparatus, equipment and BFP personnel to the said vicinity.
