[Audio] Introduction from Shell CEO Wael Sawan This time last year, I asked you to reflect on what needs to be in place before we start work for us to do that work safely. It was reassuring to see how this simple but critical step resonated with colleagues and how many adopted this concept into their daily routine. This year, I encourage you to build on this excellent work because, even though we may prepare for each day's work to the best of our ability, human errors will still occur. When they do, it is how we respond that matters. As leaders, how you respond to concerns, dilemmas and errors sets the tone for our workplace and influences our behaviours and culture. These responses can either lead to great learning, or they can mean we overlook opportunities to improve. Demonstrating care and responding positively to concerns will encourage staff to raise issues and ideas in the future. By focusing on learning rather than assigning blame, we can improve our safety performance across our entire organisation. How will you encourage honest, open and empowered discussions? On Safety Day 2025, let's all take some time to reflect on how we respond as we continue to strive towards Goal Zero.
