[Audio] This program is designed to help residents impacted by COVID-19 get back on their feet. With the RISE Employment & Job Training Program, residents can access skills-based training, employment opportunities, and supportive services. These services include training stipend up to $1000 for those who successfully complete training from an eligible training provider. job placement assistance, resume building, interview practice, and more. We also offer social services assistance with resources such as childcare support, healthcare along with other services..
[Audio] To be eligible for the RISE Program, you must: Be a current resident of the City of Orlando, as shown on your driver's license of state identification card Be 18 years of age or older.
[Audio] The Path to your $1000 Training Stipend Many participants qualify for tuition-free training through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other funding sources. These funds are administered by CareerSource Central Florida, which works closely with RISE staff and training providers to support your goals. Note: RISE does not directly pay for tuition. However, CareerSource Central Florida and some training providers (e.g., Valencia College) may offer scholarships or tuition assistance. Successfully graduate from your authorized job training program Complete the program's intake process at the RISE office, providing all required documents (certifications, licenses, bank info, and consent) Receive your award stipend (up to $1000) within a few weeks of successful intake completion Disclaimer: Must NOT HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED a training stipend from your Training Provider! You cannot receive a training stipend twice.
