Reclaimed and R ecycling rubber. To reach the reclaimed and recycling rubber, first let’s understand what if rubber is not recycled? What will be its effect? If we don’t recycle the rubber then new production from natural resource that is Ficus Elastica (Indian rubber tree) is the only option which eventually results in wasting/exploiting natural resource. Talking about the Tires, they do not decompose and when they got piled up in landfills or junkyards, they started to release chemicals into air, ground that disturbs the ecosystem. Most vehicle tires contain fossil fuel content which is highly flammable and piled up tires can burn up to several months which causes an air pollution at a very large scale..
Now, let’s discuss what are the benefits of reclaimed and recycle rubber and what is its system in India There are so many benefits of reclaimed and recycled rubber like there will be disturbance to the ecosystem of air, land etc., less exploitation to natural resource, less hazardous activities. In I ndia, 60% of rubber/tire dumping is illegal. Despite this India is the second largest producer of reclaimed rubber in the world. There are number of sources of tire waste like end of vehicle life, ban on vehicles, disposed etc. The acquisition happens by recyclers and firms which uses them for road building and burns them to make cheap fuel to make cement, or bricks respectively. Other than this there are firms that make refurbish rubber products like rubber pads for laminated tires, mats, playground surfaces etc. Then the last stage, selling these products at a reasonable price after finding the targeted market..
