Pengertian Preposition of Place dalam Bahasa Inggris.

Example. In In memiliki arti di dalam. Kata ini dapat digunakan untuk menunjukan suatu benda berada di suatu tempat. Contohnya: “I park my car in front of the post office” (saya memarkir mobil di depan kantor pos). On Secara harfiah, “on” memiliki arti “di”. Namun, kata ini digunakan untuk suatu hal yang berada di atas permukaan atau menyentuh permukaan sesuatu. Contohnya : “My cat is sleeping on my bed” (kucingku sedang tidur di tempat tidurku). At Kata “at” tentu sering kita jumpai pada suatu kalimat. “at” sendiri menyatakan tempat atau posisi seseorang atau sesuatu. Contohnya “I am now at a clothing store in a mall near my house” (aku sekarang berada ditoko pakaian di mal dekat rumahku)..

Beside Kata “beside” memiliki arti “di samping”. Dimana kata ini dapat digunakan antar orang di sampingnya. Contohnya : “I m happy sitting beside Alize” (aku senang duduk disamping Alize). Behind Kata “behind” memiliki arti di belakang. Selain itu, kata tersebut dapat menunjukan tempat dan lainnya. contohnya : “The kid is hiding behind the cabinet” (anak itu bersembunyi di balik lemari). Between Kata “between” memiliki arti diantara dua atau lebih suatu objek, dapat berupa orang, tempat, atau lainnya. Contohnya : “I put thevas between my book stack and desk lamp” (aku meletakan vas di antara tumpukan buku dan lampu meja)..

Above Kata “above” memiliki arti di atas benda lain yang lebih tinggi. Meskipun posisinya lebih tinggi dari benda lain namun tidak langsung menutupi benda tersebut. Contohnya : “I put my ball above my head” (aku meletakan bola ku diatas kepala). Under Kata “under” secara harfiah memiliki arti di bawah. Digunakan pada letak benda yang berada pada posisi di bawah benda lain, terutama benda yang tersembunyi atau tertutupi. Contohnya : “The cat is under the table” (kucing itu ada dibawah meja). Near Kata “near” memiliki arti dekat. Kata ini dapat digunakan untuk menyatakan dekat dengan seseorang atau sesuatu. Contohnya : “My house is located near post office” (rumahku terletak di dekat kantor pos)..
