[Audio] General Guidelines 1. Use Pallets only on its intended purpose 2. Load Pallets only within its capacity 3. Store Pallets on dry, uncontaminated area 4. Check Pallets for protruding nails or splinter of woods 5. Do not skid pallets unto the ground 6. Do not throw, drop and/or kick Pallets.

[Audio] Lifting Pallets 1. Have two people do the lifting/moving of pallet. 2. Lay the pallet flat on its bottom board..

Pallets should be kept on clean, dry and uncontaminated area.

[Audio] 5. Use forklift/other lifting devices/ equipment when stacking more than 8 levels of pallets. 6. Make sure that the pallets are stable when doing an adjustment on pallet stacks..

[Audio] 7. Prevent the following Improper Stacking of Pallets ( Misaligned Sides of Pallet, Stacking Pallets on its Side).

[Audio] When Using Forklift & Pallet Jack. 1. Set the width of the forks to be as wide as possible to ensure stability. 2. Use forklift/ pallet jacks with forks that are ideal to the pallet length. 3. Slowly and carefully insert pallet jack and forklift's fork unto the pallet..

[Audio] 4. Make sure that the pallet's bottom board does not hinders the wheels of the Pallet Jack. 5. Make sure forks do not protrude past the back edge of the Pallet. 6. Do not 'bulldoze' or push pallets across a concrete floor. 7. Do not use the tips of the fork to push or lift the Pallets. 8. Forks must be lowered when transporting Pallets. 9. Withdraw forks completely before lowering or turning the position of the forklift..

[Audio] 10. When placing or removing pallets from racks, tilt back forks appropriately to ensure safe handling. 11. When engaging or disengaging a load, ensure forks are at correct height to avoid damaging product of pallet . 12. Raise and lower loads carefully and smoothly..

[Audio] Loading Products on Pallets 1. Make sure loads are stable and safely stacked in the center of pallets. 2. Square-up on the center of the load / pallet. 3. Level the fork parallel to the ground, tilted fork can cause damage to the products..

[Audio] 4. Use pallets that are in Good Condition. 5. Distribute the weight of the product on the pallet evenly and uniformly especially when using different sizes of product containers. 6. Secure the Pallet with shrink wrap, banding, corner boards or other suitable method. 7. Make sure that the product will not hangover the edge of the pallet. 8. Restack products from damage pallets to Good Pallets..

[Audio] Pallet Racking. 1. Use 1:1 ratio between Pallets and Rack. 2. Make sure that the pallet and its load's eight is evenly distributed on the rack. 3. Make sure that the racking system is compatible with RED PALLET. 4. Follow standard racking system of your organization..

[Audio] 5. Place pallet on the runners carefully, making sure the pallet is centered on the rack, and push it back slowly. 6. When placing or removing pallets from racks, tilt back forks appropriately to ensure safe handling..

Arrange damage pallets in such way that the more-sturdy pallets are at the bottom of the stack. 10. Do not repair damaged pallets and Do not use damaged pallets. 11. Coordinate with RPPC for pull-out of damaged pallets..

[Audio] 3. Beyond Economic Repair Condition ( BER) – which means 6 or more damaged pallet components, 2 or more damaged stringer component, with spills or contaminated. 3.1. Terminal contamination of the pallet by harmful, poisonous contaminants or paint rendering the pallet non-usable for the food industry 3.2. More than 30% of the pallet is damaged, missing and/or require replacement 3.3. 5 or more boards of the top or bottom surface are had been damaged/missing and require replacements. 3.4. Any combination, which is equivalent to more than 30% of the total components on the pallet. Pallet has been found to be stored outside without covering which has made the pallet weathered and no longer usable 3.5. More than 3 boards of the bottom surface area have been damaged/missing and require replacements. 3.6. Two ( 2) Stringer is damaged, missing and/or require replacement.
