Scene 2 (10s)

Background Information. If there is one manoeuvre that stresses drivers, it is looking for a parking space. This however, is changing with the implantation of smart solutions. Thanks to digitalization, smart parking systems are offering solutions for urban mobility. Smart parking is a system which, thanks to the internet of things and sensor technology, allows real time to be obtained about parking availability, both outside and inside regarding traffic and road conditions..

Scene 3 (32s)

Explanation of Design. This smart parking system will be designed with a display system upon entrance of the car park. This display board would show the availability of spaces occupied and the slots available and also if the car park is full. Once the driver notices that there is parking available from the display board, the camera sensor would allow the entrance pushbutton to activate and open the bar to allow access into the car park. This bar would operate on a timer system that will the bar to be opened for at least 20 seconds. Once a vehicle enters into the car park, the camera system would denote that a vehicle has entered..

Scene 4 (2m 57s)

Explanation of Design. The vehicle would then proceed to look for a parking space. If a space is occupied the sensor would detect the vehicle and light RED if a space is empty the sensor would detect the vehicle and light GREEN and the vehicle could proceed for parking. When the car is parked, the counting sensors would add on and this information would be displayed on the display board..
