Product defects on job training

Scene 2 (7s)

[Audio] The purpose of this is to introduce the common molding defects to the 3rd floor operator and inspector. Production operations and QA inspector play a very important role in ensuring the quality of the product. Production operators and QA inspector are required to refer to the quality guide of the product if there is any uncertain defect detected and lastly, taking the defected part for QC to confirm whether it is acceptable or not despite not being stated in the quality guide.

Scene 3 (39s)

[Audio] Common molding defect, silver streak. Occurs when the plastic housing is smaller than the pin, thus will cause silver. Occurs when the barrel temperature is too high. Alert a technician for the issue and down mold repair if required.

Scene 4 (58s)

[Audio] Common molding defect, flashing. Mostly caused by the injection pressure being too high that forces the excessive plastic out from the mold. Alert a technician for the issue and down mold repair if required.

Scene 6 (1m 32s)

[Audio] Common molding defect, short molding. This is mostly caused by insufficient material flow rate which does not fill the mold up entirely. Alert a technician for the issue and down mold repair if required.

[Audio] In summary, those were the most common molding defects found in the production line. The operator and QA must inform a technician immediately if there is any molding defecting findings known on products. Never act as if nothing has happened or keep silent on the part that has a defect present. Any rejection, sorting and rework of rejected parts will only result in the waste of time and money.
