The Cold War was a geopolitical tension between the United States and the Soviet Union from 1945 to 1991. This tension manifested itself through numerous political economic and military conflicts which caused great instability and change around the world. We will examine the underlying causes of the Cold War as well as the events that shaped it and the lasting impacts it has had on the international community.
