Insights. Female attrition shows a clear spike in the R&D department with 49.4%, followed by Sales department with 43.7% and least is seen in the HR department with 6.9%. The ratio male to female attrition across each department: Human Resources : 1 Research and Development: 0.4778 Sales: 0.7037 Attrition is highest for the travellers who travel rarely with 69.3%, while the travellers who travel frequently has an attrition of 30.7%. The employees who did not leave the organization, amongst them 81% travel rarely as compared to 19% who travel frequently . Business travels plays a role in attrition. Among the employees who left the organization , the spread of the percentage of salary hikes they received was between 11% – 13% . For the monthly income group between the ranges 1k - 3k the percentage count of total attrition stands at 28.6% which is the highest. It also shows that the attrition for salary ranges which is lower is more.

Analyzing the different attrition in the organization concerning gender, age , education and marital status shows the following results: The attrition rate stands at 14.8% for females as compared to 17% for males. Employees within the age bracket of 30-35 years has the highest attrition rate which is 4%. The attrition has been highest at 41.2% in Life Sciences followed by Medical at 31.6%. Employees who are single have a higher attrition rate at 25.53% followed by employees who are married at 12.48%. The root cause analysis of the high attrition rate for the organization shows: The attrition rate for the organization is at 16.1% Business travels has an impact on attrition. Low salary ranges reflect higher attrition rates. Low salary hike reflects attrition too..
