Knee-high to Tasseling Stage (30–70 DAS) Fall Armyworm (FAW) → ragged leaves, whorl damage. Spray Emamectin benzoate 5% SG @ 0.4 g/litre. OR Thiodicarb 75% WP @ 1 g/litre. Add neem oil 2–3 ml/litre as eco-friendly option. Install pheromone traps (10/ha) for monitoring. Reproductive Stage (70–110 DAS: Tasseling, Silking, Grain Filling) Downy Mildew → yellow streaks, stunting. Stalk Rot → stems hollow, plants lodge. For downy mildew: Spray Metalaxyl + Mancozeb (0.1%). For stalk rot: Ensure field drainage (avoid waterlogging). Soil application of Trichoderma viride 2.5 kg/ha with FYM. Avoid excess nitrogen late in crop. Pre-Harvest Stage (110–145 DAS) Monitor for late rust & leaf blight. One last Propiconazole 0.1% spray if disease seen. Stop pesticide sprays at least 20 days before harvest to avoid residues..
