Summary of the Book.. When Rakesh was a boy of six, he walked home eating cherries. They were little sweet and little sour but small and red , which come from Kashmir. When Rakesh reached his cottage, There were only three cherries left with him. He gave one Cherry to his grandfather and ate the remaining two. His grandfather advised him to plant that last cherry tree. So Rakesh plant the cherry seed in the ground where soil is soft and yielding..

One spring when the tree was half a meter. A goat enter the garden and ate up the leaves remaining a stem only. But it didn’t die. After the rainy season ,new leaves appear unfortunately a woman, while cutting the grass, chopped the young tree again. But it didn’t die. One day Rakesh found a hairy caterpillar on the tree which ate up leaves as meal. Rakesh picked it up and threw it on the wall. After tree grew much and reached equal to Rakesh’s heights. Now it’s blossoming and there was some flowers. Next spring Rakesh’s grandfather noticed that some cherry are growing on the tree . He called Rakesh.
