In conclusion, the experiment was conducted to synthesis ethyl acetate (ethyl ethanoate) and further analysis by running using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Gas chromatography.

The results showed from the analysis of FTIR, the bond that found from the results are alkanes containing C-H bond is found at the frequency range 2984.39 cm -1 , the esters C-O bond at frequency 1235.77cm -1 and the C=O bond found at frequency range of 1737.17cm -1 .

The theory stated that the ester with functional group of C=O bond is found at actual range of 1050-1760cm -1 .

The results showed from the analysis of Gas Chromatography, the retention time for ester product is same as standard solution which is 1.54 min where the product has same compositions with the standard.

It can conclude that the results obtained obeys the theory for both analysis of instrumentations and the experiment was successfully done.
