Scene 2 (7s)

Hello everyone My name is Rosy and I am a friend of Srinithi. I am here to teach you a delicious recipe . Now let’s see about the recipe..

Scene 3 (21s)

The delicious recipe is falafel. Falafel is a traditional Middle Eastern food , commonly served in a pita , which acts as a pocket, or wrapped in a flatbread known as taboon ; falafel is made from ground chickpeas or fava beans, herbs and spices. The mixture is then formed into balls or patties and deep fried for a texture that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, sort of like a fritter. It’s a classic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean recipe that’s enjoyed as street food and often served up as part of mezze (a group of small meals)..

Scene 4 (1m 3s)

Now we will see the ingredients: Chickpeas, onion, Parsley and Cilantro, Garlic, Green chile pepper, Cumin, Cardamom, Salt, Black pepper, Chickpea flour, Baking soda and Oil.

Scene 5 (1m 21s)

One minute I will take my cooking set. Ha I got it. Now let’s start making the recipe. First soak your dried chick peas overnight for at least 8-12 hours. Note that the chick peas will triple in size so cover them with plenty of water. Then drain and rinse them. Add the chickpeas, onion, parsley, cilantro, garlic, green pepper and spices to the food processor. I prefer chopping up the onion, herbs and pepper before adding. Pulse the food processor but do not blend completely. Add the chick pea flour and baking soda. Stir it nicely until its fully combined and cover with plastic wrap or a lid. Place the bowl in the fridge. Cool the falafel mixture for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Shape the falafel either round or flatter. You can do this by your hand, with a cookie scoop or a falafel scoop which is available in markets. Flatter shapes are better if you plan to do a pan fry or baking..

Scene 6 (2m 39s)

We can cook the falafel in 3 different ways Deep fry Falafel Pan fry falafel Baked falafel Today I am going to bake the falafel..

Scene 7 (2m 50s)

Now preheat the oven to 425 Fahrenheit. Now spread the oil lightly on the butter or baking sheet. Place the falafel on the sheet. Now let’s wait for falafel to get ready. I am very exited to taste and give you the recipe. Ha let’s rest for drinking some tea or coffee. mmm….. nah nah I smell something bad. Oh no the falafel started to over bake, now I have to hurry of nothing happened. Now it’s Ready it tastes amazing and is healthy. while serving you can drizzle some Tahini Sauce on the falafels..

Scene 8 (3m 34s)
