. . Introduction. My name is Thubelihle Keisha Sibiya,l am 28 years old.l am from South Africa in the city of Johannesburg.I consider myself to be a very open minded and ambitious individual, always looking for ways to improve and upgrade my knowledge base.l Have a diploma in international travel which l studied after my high school education. Where I developed theoretical knowledge, practical skills,fundamental attitudes, values and interpersonal skills that are essential to work at travel related establishment or further my studies in hospitality and tourism industry.

. . Motivation for studying Hotel Management. Studying Hotel management in the hospitality Business School, will be an honor as it matches my career aspirations and l will able to have a career without limits that will allow me to grow and have higher positions.What l am most excited about is the vital skills l will learn throughout the course and it will provide me with the best relevant knowledge that will take my career to higher level.Considering that l am a very hands on individual who sees herself managing a busy corporate world and the goal is to provide the best service in every department l work for therefore Saxion University with their innovative learning will help me to develop professional competences..

. . Work Experience. After completing my Diploma l had an opportunity to work for one of the best hotels in Johannesburg Parkwood Boutique Hotel, my position was front office during this time l was able to develop multi-task skills,self management and l was able to explore ideas that were creative and unusual and that are not limited or controlled as l was dealing with different people from different parts of the world, different backgrounds and culture. Some of my duties were but not limited to:.

. . Personal achievement. I have also worked at South African Logistics as an administrator manager, during this time l was working with drivers managing their diesel consumption ,truck parts theft ,diesel theft ,drivers sleeping during working hours and very aggressive stereotype man who believe women have no rights and should bow down to men.at the beginning of being a manager l was fearful of drivers and l could not approach them nor hold them accountable. however as l was determined to learn and improve myself and to never allow to be intimidated, .l was able to get through the barrier at the office that women are not recognized as Leaders/managers ,my greatest achievement is that l was able to gain my respect and emphasis a healthy working relationships with drivers to a point that they took orders from myself as a manager and ,holding one on one meetings with them and arranging disciplinary hearings..
