[Audio] What is Fit 2 lead? Fit2Lead is an award-winning, evidence-based parks program for at-risk youth, which offers job training across Miami-Dade County with participants placed in park-based employment opportunities throughout the summer
A nationally recognized after-school program for children ages 6 to 14, " Fit2PlayTM: Health, Wellness, and Physical Activity" is created to help kids find the " fun" in fitness and form lifelong healthy habits.
Essentially,Fit 2 lead allows Miami-Dade Parks to provide youth with the opportunity to develop skillsets that will serve them for life..

▪ AS a fit 2 lead intern our responsibilities include but are not limited to keeping the park clean, assisting people with questions about the park, assisting or helping in major park events and help with park programs.
▪ Despite the fact that we are not workers, we are treated as such and required to carry out all of the duties associated with being an employee.
▪ As interns, we are treated with respect and are expected to treated our bosses with respect and get paid fairly good..

assisting people with questions about the park, 
assisting or helping in major park events and help 
with park programs.

duties associated with being an employee.

▪ As interns, we are treated with respect and are 
expected to treated our bosses with respect and get 
paid fairly good.

I went to Demps Park every Wednesday from 4: 00 to 6:00 for my classes.
At Demps Park, we would talk about topics that teenagers would need to know, such as how to deal with anxiety, finding employment, treating others with respect, developing one's own respect, communicating effectively, etc
The class was more of a place where you could come and speak and talk about your problems and practical methods to fix them than it was a traditional classroom setting..
