XPRESS INSTRUMENT. The xpress machine is used as sample preparation for testing plasmodium The process workflow for testing plasmodium is the that the whole blood must be lysated and the lysed whole blood is tested on the panther. The blood is is lysated so it can break down the blood and also release the parasite in the blood so it can be measured. The xpress machine will mix the whole blood with the lysate solution . The xpress machine can also be used for pooling or archiving sample which is not yet used at this stage..

Xpress. The Procleix Pooling software is intended to be used with the Procleix instrument to create pools of human plasma for blood screening tests. A user has the option to select different pool sizes (pools of 4, 8 and 16) as well as an archive plate option. There are 3 different pool sizes available: • Pools of 4 • Pools of 8 • Pools of 16 The xpress works in in conjunction with the bloodstream software to interpret the result. . It will be used to test malaria cases..
