[Audio] This report describes the work of the remap project pertaining to the experimental design and demonstration of new protocols to quantify the magneto rheological electrolyte (M-R-E--) quality. The M-R-E comprises magnetic nanoparticles in an aqueous electrolyte. The protocols test the M-R-E phase stability the nanoparticles electrochemical inertness responsivity to the magnetic field ability to mask a test electrode and ability to re-disperse the nanoparticles after masking. The results of testing some MRE's are given as examples.
