Reflecting on these scenarios, we clearly can see the outcome of good or not so good usage of NVC. Being aware of these NVC’s “What Not to Do’s” can be of great help. A consequence could be that we risk the chance of getting the job, according to the first scenario. And, as we all know, no job means we can’t pay for our necessities, which leads to other unnecessary hurdles. The consequence for the second scenario would not only be a failing grade. This could cost us financially, a delay in graduating, and retaking the same class twice. Remember, as we go about our ways, be fully aware and always think twice about the way that our body language can overrule what we say with our words, whether intentional or otherwise.
