2. [image]. [image]. [image]. New Initiatives. We won the 3rd prize in poster presentation on the theme ‘विकसित भारत 2047: आपके संस्थान का योगदान ’ organized by Institute for Plasma Research (IPR).

[Audio] The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) has been actively involved in promoting electronics and telecommunication engineering education and research in India. The IETE Ahmedabad Centre was established to cater to the needs of students, professionals, and institutions in the region. Over the years, the centre has organized various training programs, workshops, and events to support the growth of the engineering community. Some notable initiatives include the launch of the IETE Student Forum, which aims to provide a platform for students to engage with industry experts and network with peers. Additionally, the centre has hosted industrial visits, committee meetings, and educational events, such as the National Science Day celebration. These efforts have helped to foster a sense of community and collaboration among engineers and researchers in the region. By supporting the development of young engineers through initiatives like the IETE Student Forum, the centre is contributing to the country's future technological advancements..

[Audio] The IETE Ahmedabad Centre was established in 1958 by the Indian Electronics Association. The centre has undergone several transformations since its inception. Over the years, it has evolved into a vibrant and dynamic entity that has played a significant role in shaping the electronics industry in India. The centre has been instrumental in promoting the interests of its members and has provided numerous benefits to them. The centre's activities have been focused on the areas of electronics and telecommunication, and it has been a hub for the exchange of ideas and knowledge among its members. The centre has also been involved in various initiatives and projects that have contributed to the growth and development of the electronics industry in India. Its members have been actively engaged in contributing to the development of the industry through their participation in conferences, seminars, and other events. The centre has been recognized as a leading institution in the field of electronics and telecommunication in India..

[Audio] The upgrades we have made to our infrastructure are aimed at enhancing security and improving the overall comfort and efficiency of our workspace. We have installed new CCTV cameras with live monitoring provisions to ensure the safety and well-being of all visitors and members. Additionally, we have undertaken various maintenance and repair works, including the repair of old cane net chairs and the colouring of office furniture such as cupboards, filing racks, tables, benches, and chairs. These efforts demonstrate our commitment to providing a clean, comfortable, and productive environment for everyone who uses our facilities..

[Audio] The digital literacy program is designed to equip women and senior citizens with the necessary skills to utilize technology effectively. This initiative is vital because it addresses the disparity between those who possess digital literacy skills and those who do not. By offering training and resources, we can narrow the gap and foster an environment that promotes inclusivity. Our organization, IETE, is dedicated to supporting this endeavor through its diverse initiatives..

Training & Workshop.

[Audio] The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) organised a series of events throughout the year. The events included webinars, seminars, talks, and presentations. Various teams, including the Institute for Standardization and Metrology (ISF), conducted these activities. A total of 55 events were organised by IETE and ISF combined. Some notable events included a women empowerment programme with webinars and online income tax return filing, as well as a seminar on start-ups. Additionally, there was an industrial visit to BISAG-N Gandhinagar, a poster presentation in Hindi at IPR Gandhinagar, and a special general body meeting held on September 22nd, 2024. Other notable events included world standards day celebrations, centre foundation day celebrations, engineer's day celebrations, and a talk by a gynaecologist..

[Audio] As we continue to navigate through the highlights of our centre's activities, we find ourselves at a point where we can appreciate the significance of our cultural heritage. We are reminded of the importance of traditional celebrations that bring us together as a community. Dhanteras and Gujarati New Year Pooja are such events that not only mark the beginning of a new year but also serve as an opportunity for us to reflect on our values and traditions. We can see how these celebrations have been an integral part of our centre's activities, bringing people together and fostering a sense of belonging. Moving forward, we have had the privilege of hosting the IETE President and GC members who have visited our centre, sharing their experiences and insights with us. This has been a valuable experience for us, allowing us to learn from their expertise and gain a deeper understanding of our organisation's goals and objectives. As we look back on our achievements, we are proud to have celebrated 71st IETE Foundation Day, marking a milestone in our centre's history. We have also observed Saraswati Pooja, a celebration that honours the goddess of knowledge and learning. Our centre has been actively involved in promoting science and technology, as evident from our National Science Day Celebration. We have also made it a point to acknowledge the contributions of our students, celebrating IETE Student's Day with great enthusiasm. Furthermore, we have recognised the importance of women's empowerment, celebrating World Engineering Day and International Women's Day with various programmes and events. Our centre has also been a part of the Swayam Siddha program, a unique initiative that promotes self-reliance among women. We have also organised a digital literacy programme for women and senior citizens, aiming to bridge the gap between technology and the less privileged. These are just a few examples of the many initiatives that have taken place at our centre, highlighting our commitment to community development and social welfare. As we move forward, we will continue to strive for excellence, building on our successes and addressing the challenges that lie ahead. With this in mind, we are excited to embark on new projects and programmes that will further enrich our centre's activities and contribute to the growth and development of our community. We are proud to be a part of the IETE Ahmedabad Centre, and we look forward to a bright and prosperous future. We are grateful for the opportunities that have come our way and we are eager to seize the challenges that lie ahead.
