No. 2016-385 on June 15, 2015 Renaming to PPDC (2018) NHQ PNP General Orders No. DPL-1722 on March 23, 2018 NAPOLCOM Res. No. 2018-243 dated May 23, 2018 HISTORY AND FORMATION OF PPDC The journey of our peace office began with its initial formation in 2014, followed by the creation of an Ad Hoc Office in 2015. The Draft NHQ PNP General Order No. DPL 1526 was approved, leading to the activation of the Peace Process and Development Office or PPDO in 2016. This was further strengthened by NAPOLCOM Resolution No. 2016-385 issued on June 15, 2015. In 2018, the office was officially renamed to the Peace Process and Development Center or PPDC, through NHQ PNP General Orders No. DPL-1722 dated March 23, 2018, and supported by NAPOLCOM Resolution No. 2018-243 dated May 23, 2018.

[Audio] FUNCTIONS Office primarily responsible in the monitoring of the development and implementation of peace agreements and pertinent laws; Collaborate with Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU), Chairpersons of Government Peace Negotiating Panels (GPNPs), and Armed Forces of the Philippines Peace and Development Office (AFPPDO) on the implementation of the peace process program; Consolidate and integrate inputs and recommendations which may be required in furtherance of the peace process program; Coordinate, and disseminate the implementation of the peace process agenda; Supervise PNP personnel assigned/detailed to Joint Security Committees/Teams created in compliance of the Peace Agreement; Prepare position papers for the PNP on issues and discourses on the peace process program; Develop plans and programs for the PNP on post-conflict peace keeping; and Perform other duties as directed by TDO and the Chief, PNP. FUNCTIONS Our role includes the monitoring of peace agreements to ensure commitments are followed and sustained. We work closely with OPAPRU and other government agencies to strengthen coordination and support for peace initiatives. We also supervise the Joint Peace Security Teams, maintaining peace and order in conflict-affected areas. Lastly, we prepare position papers and plans to guide policy decisions and operational actions in support of the peace process.

[Audio] ADMINISTRATIVE SECTION Plans, collaborates and supervise the administrative requirements of the PPDC; Formulates and implements personnel development/management policies and programs to promote productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of the PPDC; Administers the referrals and dispatch of all incoming and outgoing communications; Oversees the requirements of the Radio/Message Center; and ADMINISTRATIVE SECTION This section is responsible for handling the administrative requirements of the PPDC. It plans, collaborates, and supervises office operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. It also formulates and implements personnel policies and development programs to boost productivity and effectiveness. In addition, it manages the referral and dispatch of all incoming and outgoing communications, and oversees the operations of the Message Center to maintain clear and timely coordination.

[Audio] PLANS AND SPECIAL STUDIES SECTION Initiates special studies / position papers, conducts research in coordination with the different PNP Units/Offices, OPAPRU, AFPPDO and other peace partners relevant to the PNP; Monitors the implementation of special projects approved by the C, PPDC, and higher authorities; and Coordinates with other government and non-government agencies and participate in joint planning activities; PLANS AND SPECIAL STUDIES SECTION This section plays a key role in supporting policy and planning for peace efforts. It initiates special studies and position papers, and conducts research in coordination with PNP units, OPAPRU, AFPPDO, and other peace partners. It also monitors the implementation of special projects approved by the Chief, PPDC, and higher authorities. Lastly, it coordinates with government and non-government agencies, and takes part in joint planning activities to ensure unified and effective peace strategies..
