[Audio] This study focuses on preschool children aged 4 to 6 years, a critical stage for emotional and cognitive development. Currently, there are limited effective methods to monitor emotional intelligence in early childhood, which often leads to emotional dysfunctionality going unnoticed. If these emotional issues are not identified early, they can significantly slow a child's learning progress. An AI-based emotional intelligence monitoring platform can help identify these issues early, benefiting preschool children, while also supporting parents and teachers by providing timely insights to guide interventions..
[Audio] Emotions are closely connected to the brain, particularly through the amygdala, and they directly influence a child's cognitive functions such as memory, attention, and spoken language. The hippocampus is responsible for memory recall, where positive emotions support long-term memory and information processing, while negative emotions like fear, anxiety, and stress impair memory formation and attention. The anterior cingulate cortex, or ACC, links emotion and attention. Negative emotions can dominate attention, making it difficult for children to focus on learning tasks. Spoken language is associated with Broca's area, and emotional distress can affect speech fluency and communication, slowing language development..
[Audio] design excellence of our app features, weekly updates for each child, with a one-upload-per-week restriction to ensure consistent and controlled monitoring. Only teachers are allowed to upload data, with separate logins for teachers and parents to maintain privacy and role-based access. The platform tracks emotion identification, memory recall progress, speaking skills, and attention monitoring, providing meaningful insights to support early childhood development..
[Audio] Our platform is unique as it avoids digital addiction and is designed to align with Sri Lankan cultural values. The target audience includes preschool teachers and parents, with a focus on urban preschools. We offer three flexible subscription plans: a standard plan for individual students, a family plan covering multiple children, and a school plan designed for classroom-level use. To encourage early adoption, we also provide a one-month free trial..
