[Audio] "Let's talk about what high school is all about. You'll need: ✔ Credits to graduate. ✔ A graduation plan that works for you. ✔ A four-year plan to stay on track. ✔ And of course, a schedule to guide your day!".

[Audio] "Here's how credits work: every course you pass earns you credit. 👉 You need 26 credits to graduate. 👉 Semester grades must be 70% or higher. 👉 Attendance matters—you need to be in class at least 90% of the time! Who can guess one of the classes EVERYONE has to take in high school? Let's hear some guesses!".

You earn a credit when you pass and meet attendance requirements for a course. You will receive a half credit for each semester course.

[Audio] Encourage students to discuss and share their thoughts. Ask them to think about non-academic activities they are excited about. To spark engagement, prepare a list of ideas in advance. Alternatively, have students write their responses on sticky notes and display them in a chalkboard splash activity. Facilitate a discussion by highlighting both similarities and differences in their responses..

Antes de empezar la secundaria, hay algunas cosas que necesitas saber. Vamos a explicarlo todo detalladamente: créditos, horarios, planes de graduación y más. ¡No te preocupes, nosotros te cubrimos!


¡La escuela secundaria está diseñada para apoyarte! Está centrada en el estudiante, lo que significa que tus metas e intereses son importantes. Además, tus padres y profesores están aquí para ayudarte en cada paso del camino.


¿Qué te emociona de la preparatoria? ¿Deportes? ¿Clubes? ¿Conocer nuevos amigos? Piénsalo y compartamos. También puedes anotarlo en una nota adhesiva y agregarlo a nuestro tablero. Leeré algunas de tus respuestas y ¡veamos qué te emociona más!


Hablemos de lo que se trata la secundaria. Necesitarás: ✔ Créditos para graduarte. ✔ Un plan de graduación que funcione para ti. ✔ Un plan de cuatro años para mantener el rumbo. ✔ Y por supuesto, un horario para guiar tu día!


Así es como funcionan los créditos: cada curso que apruebas te otorga créditos. 👉 Necesitas 26 créditos para graduarte. 👉 Las calificaciones del semestre deben ser de al menos 70%. 👉 La asistencia es importante, ¡tienes que estar en clase al menos el 90% del tiempo! ¿Quién puede adivinar una de las clases Q-U-E todos tienen que tomar en la escuela secundaria? ¡Escuchemos algunas respuestas!

Significa: 🎓 Tomarás un cuarto año de ciencias y matemáticas (incluyendo Álgebra 2). 🎓 Obtendrás 26 créditos. 🎓 ¡Y estarás listo para la universidad y la carrera profesional! Este plan abre puertas para becas y trabajos en el futuro!
