Problem Statement Stellantis is the sixth-largest automotive manufacturing company in the world. It has 15 brands with more than 100 variants of cars manufactured. There are 100+ showrooms around the world but there is a constraint that all the showrooms might not have all the vehicle variants.  Consider a customer comes to the showroom to take a look at the Car that they want to purchase, If the customer’s desired car is not available in the showroom then there will be a negative impact on the customer experience.

Solution To overcome this problem, I proposed a solution that we can use Mixed Reality Technology to provide a real time experience of the actual car to the customers even when the car is not available in the showroom. In this the customers can explore & interact with the virtual car and get the real time experience. Any user can see and experience any car in the showroom even when there is no availability of demo cars.

Scene 3

Solution in Brief Consider a user have planned to check a car in the showroom, unfortunately the car is not  available  in the showroom. If we have the Immersive Mixed Reality Technology then we can provide a real time experience of the car to the user i.e. A virtual car will be placed in the real world for the user to explore via Hololens, the user can actually touch  &  feel the virtual car and explore all the features of the car and also interact with the car. This unlocks a new level of customer experience and creates a great positive impact on the customers which urge them to buy the car.

Interaction  : In this immersive mixed reality user can ‘touch & feel’ the virtual car in the real world using hand gestures and voice command. User can touch & open the car door, turn on the car and hear the engine sound and also have an X-ray view of the car. Customizable :  User can customize the car’s interior & exterior features i.e. change the car colors, alloy wheels, cabin color etc.

Multi User Support  : Consider if three customers exploring the car at the same time using Mixed Reality technology with three different HoloLens Devices and then if a customer opens the car door, the rest of them can also experience the same; even though all the three customers are in three different devices they could experience real-time collaborative changes.

What are the costs of the solution? These could be monetary, or intangible (employee  morale  decrease, harm to the brand, etc.)

Cost reduction  Mixed reality helps users to explore any car models at any showroom, Which reduces the need to have all real car variants (models) at all the showrooms Minimal cost to setup Showroom - Mixed reality eliminates the need to place physical car model that occupies more floor space.                   Real time virtual experience of Expensive cars at any showroom

Price of RAM TRX  (Model car at Showroom ) $70,000  (approx.) Cost Saving for 1 Vehicle            $66,500  (approx.) Price of Hololens  (For the real time experience   of the RAM TRX or any Car) $3,500.00

What is the value of this solution? It could be monetary or it could be intangible (brand recognition, etc.)

This solution can be extended to various brands across stellantis which attracts its respective customer base.  This solution attracts more new customers to buy the vehicles and also engage the existing customers which in turn increases the customer value and rise in the customer base. Since it attracts more customers it increases the revenue for the company, So it is monetary.

MR Growth Rate Our  competitors  such as Renault ,Ford have landed in mixed-reality technology in the year 2018. When comparing their  revenues  of our competitors b efore  & after they use MR technology, After implementing MR technology  their  revenue savings spiked  to 15% .   A round  78%  Automotive industry have newly entered the MR technology after 2018.

2022 Q1 Multi Brand Inclusion :            Extending the solution to  Multiple brands.

2022 Q2    Future Scope - I ncluding  App additional features - Increase User engagements

2021 Q3 Incubation -  Developing an MVP Minimum Viable Product:   Prior to market launch, a significant stage of the release is used to gather data and the user feedback

2021 Q4 Minimum Marketable Product:            The defined marketed general release of the initial scope of the product .

Outcome : Increase the revenue  of the company. Attract more customers to buy Stellantis vehicles and increase the customer base. Obtain a greater reach to the new potential consumers. High cost realization of physical cars.
