Corporate Social responsibility (csr)

A business's CSR can encompass a wide variety of tactics, from giving away a portion of a company's proceeds to charity, to implementing "greener" business operations. Over the years the Pink Ribbon foundation has partnered up with many well known brands including Estée Lauder, Stella McCartney's Lingerie brand and Girlfriend collective to try and raise awareness and funds for Breast cancer. They do this by holding fundraisers and donating a percent of their profit. https://www.frontstream.com/blog/breast-cancer-awareness-month-campaigns

Effectiveness of the Pink ribbon foundation

Strengths include the fact that they have b een part of the 5 year survival rate raising it from 76% to 90% (Source 4). Through there fundraising and research they have been able to increase a breast cancer patients survival rate. An opportunity is that they could collaborate with more global organisations to increase the research and funds for breast cancer research. A weakness is that they only focus on the one type of cancer when they could be putting some money and resources towards the research of a different type of cancer.
